April 25th DFS Analysis
It’s Tuesday, and I’m on this “win a tournament this week guarantee” thing which will certainly fail, so I wanted to get one of these posts out today.
However, I’m pressed for time so we’re going to breeze through this bad boy.
Slate Overview
It’s cold out there, but we won’t have any rainouts.
Still no Coors or Cincy or absolutely horrifyingly bad SPs, so there are no obvious spots to go to, so this should be a fun one again.
Pitchers
Cash Options
» Joe Ryan $10,500 vs. Yankees
» Nestor Cortes $9,900 vs. Twins
» Mason Miller $5,700 vs. Angels
» Griffin Canning $6,400 vs. Athletics
There is really not much to love here. Ryan would be exciting if he weren’t priced accurately. I hate to spend $20,400 on Ryan+Cortes but there’s not a ton else standing out. Canning has a really nice SwStr% and has looked solid in his return, so that’s pretty interesting against Oakland. I just might end up there in cash.

Hitters
The top projections are once again Ohtani & Trout, but maybe that’s just because the model doesn’t know a ton about Mason Miller. Say what you will about a rookie pitcher that mostly throws fastballs, he’s not likely to be a guy that just gets bombed like some of the league’s worst pitchers. Obviously we still like Trout and Ohtani in the spot, but Acuna Jr. is clearly the pay-up option on the slate against Hoeing, who has been good in the minors this year but wasn’t good in the minors last year.
The big team standout is the Blue Jays with Springer, Guerrero Jr., and Bichette all being in the top ten in raw projections. The Mets are up against Josiah Gray as well, so that’s certainly a good spot to pay up for.
We have to go behind the paywall now to get to the position-by-positoin player pool where we really start to figure things out.
