I’ve already gone into detail on player boosts in OBP leagues. That’s the most common change when a league abandons batting average. But I have heard of many other leagues using things like slugging or OPS to replace batting average.

I’m not going to do a full strategy piece for that, but I can offer you an Excel file of the top 200 hitters broken down by their auction value in each league type. This assumes these four categories:

  • Runs

  • Home Runs

  • Runs Batted In

  • Stolen Bases

But then it runs the auction values four times, subbing in one of these ratio categories with those four:

  • Batting Average (AVG)

  • On Base Percentage (OBP)

  • Slugging Percentage (SLG)

  • On Base Plus Slugging (OPS)

I used The Bat X projections and ordered them by ADP and added ranks for each league type.

The ranks are strictly position-based. They are not my own rankings, they’re just where the dollar figures line up.

Full data is below the paywall! Remember, this is the final day to get the discounted yearly rate if you’re not already a paid sub!
