The Lineup
I had a quarterback problem all weekend. I was set on punting it with Daniel Jones or Geno Smith, and I went back and forth a hundred times. And then the news about Brian Robinson being out hit, so I decided to make this switch:
Geno Smith, DeVon Achane, Cardinals D → Dak Prescott, Austin Ekeler, Titans D
That cost me a whole bunch of points and a good amount of dollar bills. So that’s sad. Last week, the final change helped me greatly, and this week it hurt me. That’s how it goes; you can’t beat yourself up about it.
I still came out ahead, although in reality, we’d call this a push week. I barely missed the cash line in double-ups, was right on it in the Hundos (some I cashed, some I did not), and did well in head-to-heads.
The bigger problem was the injuries. I took on all three highly-owned players who got injured and did not return. Olave and London both went out for the count in the first quarter, and Dak got hurt early in the fourth and missed a couple of valuable drives where they would have been throwing a ton. Since they were all highly owned, it didn’t ruin my week, but it certainly hurt.
The plays I was not coming off of no matter what:
Alvin Kamara
Chris Olave
Chase Brown
And I was pretty darn set on Jakobi Meyers and Mike Gesicki as well. Everybody who didn’t get hurt smashed, so it was a good lineup - just a bad late switch and bad injury breaks.
