Paid Writing Opportunity - Fantasy Football
Hey there! I’m Jon Anderson and you are on my SubStack, which I started at the beginning of the 2022 MLB season. I have decided to expand what I have going on here to fantasy football and the NFL season.
For the NFL season, I will be providing a weekly post laying out all the data from the previous weeks, as well as developing a very powerful Tableau Dashboard that gives every insight and detail that we can muster. Access to all of this will cost people a small monthly fee.
What I want to add to it is traditional weekly write-ups. I would like to have weekly main slate articles going over the best plays of the week, as well as Thursday and Monday night Showdown posts - all of this at a minimum.
I don’t think I have the time or even the skills to really do that myself, so I’m looking for someone to do it for me. You will be expected to come out with 3 pieces a week
DraftKings Showdown Analysis for Thursday Night football
DraftKings Showdown Analysis for Monday Night football
DraftKings main slate analysis for the Sunday slate
We can also certainly work in some “best bets” articles since that’s incredibly popular these days, that can be a weekly piece as well if you do that stuff, but I won’t be helping out with that because obviously if you bet on sports you go directly to hell.
And this is all very rough right now, we can go all kinds of different ways with it.
You will obviously have access to all the data stuff I develop (including projections), and I would prefer these posts be very data-oriented using the reports & dashboards I develop so it all kinds of fits into what I’ve become a bit known for.
The pay will be percentage-based, so you’ll get a cut of the money the NFL side of this Substack generates. By no means is this a real job, it’s probably best described as beer money - but there’s upside for more like grocery money… provided you don’t buy many groceries.
No reason this can’t bleed over into baseball season as well with daily DFS articles if you’re into that as well.
I’d prefer someone who has experience writing DFS stuff, and it’s a requirement that you’re very well-versed in the advanced metrics of the NFL game (air yards, route trees, all that stuff). And if you know Python on top of that fuhgedaboutit - the job is yours.
I’m insanely laid back and I don’t like to make a big deal out of anything in life, so there’s really no risk for you here besides getting your ass fired and going back to having none of my money rather than a little tiny bit of it.
