Projection Powered Player Props - July 7
Stuart Durst is back with three MLB props to start your week the right way!
Locked and loaded with MLB player props for tonight’s slate! Very fun sports weekend that ended up being particularly interesting to me with the firing of Mike Rizzo and Davey Martinez. As a Nationals fan it was pretty shocking, but congrats to whoever lands Mike Rizzo next… and goodluck to whoever ends up with Davey Martinez. End of an era… Hoping the Nationals can kickstart a new era tomorrow against the Cardinals (and the degen in me already took a nibble at the ML at +150). Now lets get into the props!
Jonathan Aranda o1.5 HRRBI
Price: -125
Book: MGM/365
The Rays offense has continued to play well and Jonathan Aranda has been a very big part of why. He may be the least known All-Star in the MLB, but it’s well deserved hitting .320 (5th) with a 149 wRC+ and 54.5% Hard-Hit% this year. The Rays do some annoying pinch hitting, but Aranda has constantly been getting 4+ AB’s and with the level that he’s playing at I think he survives even if Montero gets pulled early.
He’s matched up against Montero who has really struggled against left handed hitters this season, which will be a problem against this lineup. He’s allowed a .320 AVG and .620 SLG to LHH this season and struggled with hard contact in general allowing 1.77 HR/9 across 56 innings this season. He was just recalled from the minors, and has really never been able to stay consistent at the MLB level. One of my favorite fade targets is back and love backing the top of this Rays lineup in the H+R+RBI market given their recent form.
