This is the order I’d go after them, but I don’t feel very good about anybody but Gore, and if you read this SubStack you probably already have Gore, or at least he’s not available to you.
Estes has some really nice matchups, so he’s the other actual recommendation. As for Montas/Williams/McKenzie, it could go fine and it’s worth it in deep points leagues where the downside is lesser, but I don’t think I’d do it in a roto league.
Reds: They go to Coors for three games, and there are plenty of Reds bats available. I’m thinking Friedl, Candelario, and Jonathan India. You could also go after Will Benson and/or Jake Fraley, but Benson is banished to bottom of the order and Fraley won’t start against the lefty (Blach) on the 4th.
Cubs: They go to Great American for four games, set to face Greene, Lodolo, Montas, and Abbott. They don’t have a ton in terms of desirable and available bats, but you might be able to get a steal out of Pete Crow-Armstrong and Mike Tauchman has been a pretty solids points contributor this year.
Astros: They’re currently scheduled to face Gibson, Pallante, Mikolas, Suarez, Canning, and Anderson - so that’s six very hittable pitchers.
Rangers: I’m not saying don’t play Semien or Seager or anything crazy, but maybe for a fringe bat tiebreaker, you can pick someone else. The Rangers have Tarik Skubal, Jack Flaherty, Logan Webb, and Blake Snell on the schedule.
Royals: Same deal, don’t bench the good hitters but the schedule isn’t looking friendly - Tanner Bibee, Bryce Miller, Luis Castillo, and George Kirby.
