Week 3 Waiver Wire Targets
Quick hits looking at potential players to target for week three waiver wires adds.
I really shouldn’t be writing baseball stuff on weekends, but it is a little ridiculous to have a fantasy baseball website and not have an article about who you should be picking up ahead of a new week! I mean I mention guys that fit that description in the daily notes most days, but I should have something more official.
They say that if you can’t give something 100% of your ability, don’t do it all. But that’s crap. This is not going to be the best waiver wire pick ups article on the Internet. This isn’t something I’m spending multiple hours on and making sure I don’t miss anybody. I’m doing it the way I always do things - with queries.
I have a big beautiful Python script now that spits out player data into a Google Sheet with the player ownership, and I will be using that to highlight standouts. There will be players I miss, for sure, so if you’re really looking for solid advice on this front, I would check out some other sources as well.
Looks like the man Brian Entrekin has a weekly article on his Substack, and it’s free. So I recommend this one for week three. And I didn’t even freaking read the thing, so things are going really well here. But that also means I’m not clouded by those anchors. We’ll see if I come up with any of the same names as him.
Pitchers
This is most important. First, we’ll list some names that probably aren’t available in sharp leagues, but are nonetheless widely available in ESPN/Yahoo Leagues (average ownership under 60%).
