Week 4 Waiver Wire Targets
Quick hits looking at potential players to target on the week four waiver wire.
I am potentially looking for someone to write this post for me, but it has to be the right fit. I really like just working by myself here, but this is a pretty demanding article and my free time is pretty limited.
I hate to fall into credentialism, but I am looking for someone with past experience in this arena. Just so I can check out some of the work you’ve done in the past before giving you the keys. So if you have done some fantasy baseball writing before and have examples to share, and you want to write this article every week for this season, please reach out to me. I’m willing to pay $15 per article and I’ll comp your paid subscription here. That’s hardly even buying you lunch these days, but this is a supply-and-demand situation. I can cover this myself, so it’s not worth all that much to me to have someone else do it. If you’re insulted by the $15 offer, just don’t apply.
Will it give you valuable experience? No… But maybe it will be fun. And then you can tell the ladies at the bar that you’re a professional fantasy baseball writer, which gets them all kinds of excited, trust me.
You can either DM me on Twitter or email me here to express your interest.
Last week’s article honestly blew chunks, but you guys liked it anyways. I’m going to have this one blow fewer chunks, but still, it’s not the best one on the Internet. You can’t say I’m not honest.
We’re going to format it this week. For pitchers and hitters, I’m going to break it down into three categories
“Duh”: They’re probably not available, but if they are you should add them immediately
“Probably”: More available, and guys I feel good about, but not must-add dudes at this point
“Deep Leagues”: Guys with lots of problems, but enough to justify them in deep leagues
Those category names suck so maybe I’ll improve on that in the future as well. Always leave yourself room for improvement.
Pitchers
Duh
Jared Jones (49% Owned)
Brandon Pfaadt (53% Owned)
Reid Detmers (77% Owned)
Garrett Crochet (78% Owned)
Bryce Miller (77% Owned)
Again, if you’re in a remotely competitive league, these guys are all gone. But they’re under 80% on ESPN/Yahoo, so there are some leagues out there slacking this bad.
And I’m going to drop the paywall on you here. Become a paid subscriber to get the rest of this post every weekend along with everything else that goes on here.
