Game-by-Game Breakdowns
NWE vs. NYJ
The Patriots are really bad, and this was full domination from the Jets. The floor on these Pats fantasy players is so low, but there might be a buy-low opportunity on Rhamondre Stevenson. The NFL still has this rule where teams take turn having the ball. So the Patriots get to run plays all game long, and that means Stevenson is going to touch the ball. He has 52 rushes and eight targets through two games, so there will be good fantasy games ahead. Drake Maye got run here, but they’re going back to Jacoby Brissett. The offense will be a bit more interesting with a newer, younger QB.
Braelon Allen touched the ball 11 times to Breece Hall’s 16, so that’s a more evne split than Hall owners were hoping for. And Garrett Wilson had another pretty mediocre game despite the touchdown. He went 5-33-1. For the year he has 26 targets and a 9.0 ADoT. It’s good usage, but it’s not quite alpha-WR levels.
Mike Williams played about half the snaps and earned a season-high four targets. He’s still ramping up. You’d think he’d get more and more work every week until he’s pretty much an every down wideout, but we can’t use him for fantasy quite yet.

HOU vs. MIN
The Texans were trailing here, and that led to a really high pass rate. They ran it just 14 times, and lead back Cam Akers got just nine carries and one catch - but he did add the touchdown to make something of his day. Nico Collins showed the floor that we knew he had. He still went for 86 receiving yards, but caught just four of his 10 targets for a pretty disappointing result. Stefon Diggs led the receivers with 10-94-0 on his 12 targets. Tank Dell is still the clear #3 option with 5-62-0 on his six targets. Their passing game has not been nearly as good as we thought it could be. They are averaging 7.2 yards per attempt, which is in the middle of the pack.
There’s not much to say on the Vikings side. Sam Darnold is playing well (0.16 EPA is seventh-best in the league), and the offense runs through Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson.

LAC vs. PIT
The Steelers defense is really good. It’s tough to play non-studs against them. They shut down J.K. Dobbins and allowed just one touchdown.
Justin Fields is getting it done in real life, but has just 12, 11, and 18 fantasy points through three games, and he’s run for just 90 yards in three games.

CHI vs. IND
The Bears ran an absolute ton of plays here, so the yardage piled up. Caleb Williams was still a negative (-0.13 EPA this week, -0.31 for the year), but he did do enough to give Rome Odunze a huge fantasy game as he went 6-112-1 on 11 targets. Cole Kmet and DJ Moore also saw double-digit targets. This was an outlier game in terms of plays run though.
Anthony Richardson has been a bust this season. After a good score of 26 fantasy points in week one, he’s scored 10 and five fantasy points these alst two weeks. He’s not a good passer, and the rushing has come down to 4-37-0 and 8-24-0 these last two games. Very low floor, but still a good ceiling on him if the Colts can find a way to score points again. Jonathan Taylor had the big game here with 23-110-2 on the ground. None of the receivers had a game you’d want to have in fantasy - and that’s how it’s going to be most weeks with Richardson at QB.

Two pretty ugly teams here, but Malik Nabers continued to show his WR1 prowess, and Devin Singletary once again got a ton of work.
The Browns backfield didn’t get much action as they were trailing most of the game, but Jerome Ford did take 10 of the 12 RB carries and added four targets - so he’s had nice usage in two of these three weeks.

GNB vs. TEN
It’s run city for the Packers until Jordan Love gets back. Malik Willis did most of the work for them with 6 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown. Josh Jacobs had a rough day at 14-43-0, and he gave up a lot of work to Emanuel Wilson who went 12-50-0 on the ground - I didn’t see that coming. The touchdowns should start coming for Jacobs once Love gets back and the offense gets to moving the ball more quickly again.
The Titans struggled with just 4.4 yards per play. Tony Pollard was super ineffcient with 6-14-0 on the ground and 3-15-0 through the air. The targets were spread out like crazy with nine different players seeing a target and only one guy (Hopkins) over five. Ugly team.

PHI vs. NOR
The Saints breakout offensive season came to a sudden halt. There yards per play this year: 5.7 in week one, 7.7 in week two, and 4.1 yesterday.
Alvin Kamara got there by seeing those 29 touches, but he was inefficient and did not score - so it was far from the fantasy result people were expecting.
Chris Olave was the man of the game for the Saints. He caught all six of his targets for 6-86-1. Rasheed Shaheed didn’t make the scoresheet, catching zero of his five targets.
The targets went to Dallas Goedert (11) and DeVonta Smith (10) with A.J. Brown missing. Smith missed a few drives at the end of the game after a concussion, so his status for next week is in question.
Saquon Barkley now leads the league in fantasy points scored with 90.4 DraftKings points (36.2, 17.6, and 36.6).

DEN vs. TAM
The Broncos handled business here. Bucky Irving led the Bucs in rush attempts (nine for him, six for White), but White was still the primary pass-catching back (5-18-0 on six targets). It’s tough to start either of those guys if there’s going to be a split - the last two weeks have been bad news for Rachaad.
Tyler Badie led the Broncos in carries with nine, so that was a surprise.

MIA vs. SEA
The Dolphins struggled mightily without Tua. That wasn’t a surprise. DeVon Achane saw just 14 touches. That was a surrpise to me - the game just didn’t go his way and that was a pretty big-time bust. Tyreek Hill had just a 3-40-0 in his first game with Skylar Thompson, so you’re not feeling good about him right now.
Zach Charbonnet was the workhsoe again and was great at 5.1 yards per carry. He’s at 3.5 YPC for the season with 10-76-1 thorugh the air. He is must-start while Walker is out.
JSN could not repeat that huge week two, going back down to just a 3-39-0 line on three targets. Tyler Lockett led the team in targets with eight, so that wide receiver room is pretty tough to pick from.

CAR vs. LVR
The QB position is such a mental thing. Andy Dalton clearly doesn’t have anywher near the physical skills of Bryce Young, but he knows how to play the position - and he shwoed it here. That was a huge boost to the entire Panthers offense. Diontae Johnson was the biggest gainer from that, and he had a huge game with 8-122-1 on 14 targets. He’s a very, very good fantasy WR with Dalton in there.
The Raiders were unimpressive here, and it was another bad week for Davante Adams (4-40-0), and Brock Bowers (3-41-0) was disappointing as well.

SFO vs. LAR
The Rams won this one. Kyren Williams was their primary ball-carrier with 26 touches to lead the team by far. Targets were spread out: Atwell (5), Parkinson (5), Johnson (4), Robinson (4), Whittington (3), Williams (2). That’s probably how it will go until Kupp and/or Puka come back.
Jauan Jennings scored almost all of the 49ers fantasy points. He saw 12 targets and caught 11 of them for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Great usage, but an outlier result for sure with a 92% catch rate on a high 12.4 ADoT and the three scores.
Brandon Aiyuk saw 10 targets of his own but went just 5-43-0 on them. I think he’ll be in for some big games while Deebo is out, so just hold the line there.

Disappointing game here as they came in nearly 20 points under the over/under total. It was a rare game when Jahmyr Gibbs didn’t see a target, that’s pretty much just bad luck there. Nobody had a huge target game, but Amon-Ra scored the fantasy points with 7-75-2 on his eight targets. Sam LaPorta was once again pretty bad with 2-36-0 on his two targets.
Marvin Harrison Jr. saw 11 targets but went just 5-64-1 on them, so the Cardinals were pretty inefficient here.

BAL vs. DAL
Two big games in a row for Derrick Henry now. This was a close game, and Henry went 25-151-2 while Lamar added 14-87-1 of his own on the ground. This is the Ravens preferred way to play. They ran it 45 times here, which kept all of the pass-catchers from useful fantasy games. Nobody had even four targets.
The Cowboys threw it a ton with 52 targets spread around. Here’s how those went: Ferguson 11, Lamb 8, Dowdle 6, Cooks 6, Tolbert 5, Turpin 3, Brooks 3, Luepke 3, Schoonmaker 2, Elliott 2, Vaughn 2, Smith 1
You’re bound to get some big fantasy games with that much pass volume, but it was so spread out that really only Dak Prescott put up a big fantasy output.

KAN vs. ATL
Rashee Rice might be a first-round fantasy pick if the drafts were right now. He had 14 targets and is now averaging 9.7 targets per game with 8.0 catches per game, 96 yards per game, and 0.7 touchdowns per game. That’s a pace for 136 catches, 1600 yards, and 12 touchdowns.
The rushing attempts for the Chiefs went like this with Pacheco out: Steele 17 (4.2 ypc), Perine 6 (4.2 ypc), Worthy 3 (4.3 ypc), Rice 1 (1.0 ypc). It makes sense that they’d just throw the ball a lot, and use Rice and Worthy as pass-game extension. Steele should find his way into the endzone several times while Pacheco is out, and Perine will have some decent games through the air. But they did sign Kareem Hunt, who will factor in starting next week. I don’t want to start any Kansas City running back for now.
The Falcons have spread the ball around a lot this this year. Drake London did earn himself nine targets and a good 6-67-1 line. Mooney added eight targets, Pitts with five, McLoud with three, and Robinson with 2.
