Rest of Season Third Base Rankings
I re-rank my top third basemen for the second half of the 2024 fantasy baseball season.
Other Positions
Tier One
Jose Ramirez
Rafael Devers
Third base was supposed to be weak this year, and that’s mostly been the case. These two are the only ones who have been stud producers all season long. Jose Ramirez ranks seventh in the league in fantasy point scoring with a .268 batting average, 23 homers, and 18 setals. He’s just doing his normal thing once again. Rafael Devers has been fantastic in his own right witha .295 batting average, 23 homers, and two steals. The batting average (and OBP if that’s the kind of league you are in) are what separates him from a lot of other guys. These two are the clear top tier.
Tier Two
Austin Riley
I have a lone man in tier two. In the past, Austin Riley has produced like a top option, but this year it’s been a little bit down with a .257 batting average and only 12 homers at the break. He’s gotten back into form in recent weeks, but given the fact that we already expected a lower batting average and no steals from the man, I cannot rank him among the elite right now. That said, if he leads the league in homers and RBI from here on, I wouldn’t be shocked.
